‘Florida cop treated for overdose after possible fentanyl exposure, police say’
By Athina Morris, December 14, 2022 https://www.wfla.com/news/florida/video-florida-cop-treated-for-overdose-after-possible-fentanyl-exposure-police-say/ This article is misleading as it claims that an officer suffered a contact overdose from fentanyl exposure. In reality, the officer did not suffer an overdose. Such misleading headlines can contribute to misinformation about fentanyl and create unnecessary fear surrounding fentanyl, and law enforcement encounters with the drug.
