Paper Bags Need to Go: Disinformation from YouTube

There is a guy I knew from high school that would often spout unhinged conservative banter. He often posts on YouTube. I will not share the link due to how much personal information he shares online. Recently he made a YouTube video on how plastic is more beneficial to the earth than paper. I think he makes understandable points at first, about plastic being more reliable than paper, but halfway into the video he talks about how plastic does not add to the litter or trash in the ocean. Roughly 33 billion pounds of trash enter the ocean per year, which he failed to mention, and he only focused on the carbon emissions from the factories making the paper bags. Granted, emissions are indeed harmful, but plastic bag manufacturers also release toxic emissions as well. He very blatantly cherrypicked evidence due to his own personal filter bubbles and echo chambers. He posts these extreme hypocritical views online, and actually garners some viewership, which amazes me. In a way he is creating his own filter bubble, that others are subjected to.
